FALL 2018: FIU-UNIGE WORKSHOP

arch 2018 workshop

Unige-FIU workshop 'Mind's Eye: Strategy & Image' was held on November 29-30, 2018. The emphasis was on 'representation' of project 'image' and 'strategy' as an integral part of the design process, not as part of a final project 'presentation'. This workshop helped both groups of students to clarify/ develop the schematic strategy of their respective projects and communicate/suggest the desired character of place.

Unige-DAD professor Carmen Andriani's Coastal Design Lab, with Italian/Erasmus students, is working on the Val Polcevera and the area of the collapsed Morandi bridge, to be concluded in January 2019. The FIU studio with Eric Peterson is designing a hybrid cruise terminal/public building in the port of Genoa.

The mixed groups worked together on both studio projects to exchange insight and ways of working.
